Come to the 1st Charlottesville Anarchist Bookfair on March 19th, 2011 at the Random Row Bookstore!
Where are the radical voices in the South in a time of strong repression by police, expansion of prisons, larger threats to immigrants, budget cuts on education, further foreclosures, layoffs, ecological devastation, and to top it off, an administration that bases its power on co-opting the very history of radical struggle in the South and elsewhere in the US?
Well, everywhere, of course. The issue is how to meet one another, organize, strategize, and fight back together. With this in mind, anarchists and other radicals here in Charlottesville, Virginia will be hosting an Anarchist Bookfair on Saturday March 19th, 2011.
The bookfair will provide a space for anarchists, radicals, and the curious in the Mid-Atlantic/Central Appalachia region to converge and share literature, ideas, and have informal time together. It is also an opportunity to organize and discuss with the wider community by bringing great literature from all over, hosting workshops, facilitating action planning, and having fun events.
If you’d like to help, we’ll be putting together funds, outreach, food, housing, childcare, interpretation/translation, etc. and could use support locally and regionally.

Donde estan las voces radicales en tiempos de fuerte represion policiaca, la expansion de las prisiones, mas amenazas a lxs imigrantes, cortes a la educacion, mas desalojos, despidos, y devastacion ecologica?
Bueno, en todos lados, pues claro. El problema es como encontrarnos unos a los otros, organizat, estrategizar,y luchar juntos para atras. Con esto en mente, anarquistas y otros radicales aqui en Charlottesville estaran organizando una feria de libros anarquistas el Sabado 19 de Marzo del 2011.
La feria proveera un espacio para que lxs anarquistas, radicales, y curiosxs en la region de el Mid-Atlantic/Appalachia Central puedan reunirse y compartir literatura, ideas, y pasar tiempo informal juntos. Tambien es una oportunidad para organizar y discutir con la comunidad en amplio al traer gran literatura de todos lados, organizando talleres, facilitando planes para acciones, y teniendo eventos divertidos.
Si le gustaria ayudar, estaremos recaudando fondos, y organizando alcanzes, comida, hospedaje, cuido de niñxs, interpretacion/traduccion, etc. y podriamos usar apoyo local y regional.
